Room 15 learnt about shape and pattern. We cut out a maori pattern and had to glue it carefully together to make our koru.
Term One:
This term we are learning to sketch.
Success criteria:
- I use my pencil in different ways to make different tones
- I practise making the shapes I need before I sketch my final sketch
- I make changes to my sketch to improve it
- I seek feedback to improve my sketch
We are learning to sketch a self portrait.
Success Criteria:
- My self portrait takes up most of the page
- I used basic shapes for the face and its features
- I have drawn all the facial features in the right place
- The features are in proportion
We started by sketching a portrait of ourselves.
We then did a fun activity called 'taking a dot for a walk', This was to help us take notice of the shape of our facial features.
